In August, we graduated 8 literacy learners who have been in our program for five years and are now equipped with skills and competencies to move their families out of a generational cycle of poverty by upgrading their petty marketing trade from subsistence to profit making. Forty six learners are standing by to enroll for the current school year (October 2024 through June 2025). We have been unable to begin our 2024/25 school year literacy classes due to our current inability to sustain the monthly cost of $270.00 to pay our five literacy tutors, operate our standby generators and/or pay electrical bills. We are determined to honor our moral and ethical commitment of sustaining our 30+ year provision of free literacy classes for persons who are determined to not just survive, but strive, even while facing a national economically challenged living environment. We are encouraged by our living, breathing, and thriving success stories who have moved their families out of generational poverty and are making a difference in their communities and their nation. Please contiinue to support us.
