Dear Supporters,
We kicked off at the end of 2022 offering a sewing course to 8 women, one has had to postpone due to becoming pregnant but the others are still motivated and went from nothing to something amazing. As we kick off the final 2 months of their training the team will produce a dress, t-shirt and suit as part of their final productions.
Once done this they will undergo an action change examination and when they graduate they will be linked up with the Founder and CEO of our local corporate partner in South Africa where they will be opening their own business and with our support looking to supply school uniforms to all local schools, selling bags, african shirts, table covers and cushions at the local market while others that didn't find their feet at sewing will start to be mentored and trained to run the marketing, website and sales of their business.
For this to be successful we would love to provide these women with small grants and loans to setup their business as well as provide longer term support to purchase their own sewing machines. A sewing machine costs $150, any future donations to this project will be used to help these women and once they graduate we will open our level 2 course and welcome a new cohort of level 1.
Currently your donations are funding our sewing teacher, the community space, material and other equipment for our level 1 students.
Thank You,
