Dear Supporters,
Your donations allowed us to train 12 women over the passed 3 months and while we aim to continue to train women at our current centre in 2024 we would love to open another one so we can double our annual impact!
Our project to help empower women is super cool! It does cost a lot to get started, but the impact we have is huge longterm!
To start, we need about $20,000 to buy machines, fabric, and cotton. But after that, it only costs about $50 for each woman to join our program. In just 6 weeks, they go from not knowing how to sew to being really good at it!
Once they finish the program, we give them a grant of $200 so they can buy their own materials. Then they can start making things to sell through our business. Every 6 weeks, we help 5 women. They can make and sell school uniforms, sell things at markets, and soon we'll help them sell on Amazon too!
All of this helps these women start their own small businesses. They can make money to support their families. It's awesome!
