Sadia Yaqoob is an environmental geologist and one of our amazing Career Girls mentors. When we interviewed Sadia, she encouraged girls to consider future careers in geology and environmental science. “Girls can work as environmental geologists like me…they can be volcanologists, [or] seismologists,” she said. “There are so many exciting careers that a girl can pursue in geology!”
Career Girls is all about expanding what girls think is possible. Thanks to you, we’re thrilled to be launching an Environmental Science Mini-Camp this summer! We will bring engaging lessons and inspiring role models like Sadia to girls across the country in an interactive virtual camp format.
We’re also excited to announce that our first Virtual Camp of 2021 starts this week, in partnership with the Friends of the Commission on the Status of Women! Girls across the country will learn about Financial Literacy in this 3-day camp.
These initiatives are only possible because of your support. Thank you for being a Career Girls donor and friend!!
