By Kay Hollins | Imani House, Brooklyn
Dear Friends of Camp Imani,
We write to inform you of a special event: GlobalGiving has established its BackBlack Campaign in honor of "Black Philanthropy August", which aims to increase funding for U.S. based, Black-led nonprofit organizations that generally receive less support/donations.
Imani House Brooklyn was founded 35 years ago by a Black woman, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Our founder and Executive Director, Mrs. Ideraabdullah is a mother of 5 as well as an educator that loves children, and is passionate about supporting the enhancement of the lives of inner city youth and families.
Your donation(s) have helped Imani House provide 7 weeks of free, enriching Summer Camp in 2024 where over 600 applied for 150 available seats. Also, you are welcome to lend your support to our performing arts and enrichment after school program which will begin September 16th.
The BackBlack Campaign ends on August 31, 2024. However, we raise funds for our Summer Camp throughout the year.
No donation is too small.
Sincerely,
