Dear all,
Thank you for supporting the Imani House Summer Camp. It is winter here in Brooklyn but we are keeping warm at Imani House by staying active with our After School Program Activities at P.S. 282. We are a year round program and we want to keep you updated on our progress.
Since our last update, we've held our winter recital on January 30th and it was a great success! Our 145 After School students participated in a total of eleven different performances centered around the performing and cultural arts including Salsa, Haitian Folkloric, Steel Pan and African Dance and Drumming. Many of these same children will be with us this summer for Camp Imani for some fun in the sun and thanks to your generosity; Archery, Karate and Dance will be continued over the summer. We hope you will join us for our Annual Walk-To-Live Walkathon against Childhood Obesity on May 31st, at 10:00 AM in Prospect Park.
Summer is approaching fast and we can use the help so that the kids will have the fullest summer possible in the tradition of Imani House’s quality youth programming
Again we greatly appreciate your generosity.
Sincerely,
