At Imani House, we believe all children deserve to play, build friendships, and learn new skills. Thanks to your support Camp Imani and our after-school programs support over 500 inner-city children in the Brownsville and South Brooklyn neighborhoods. As we prepare for our 2016 summer term, we rely on your support to deliver quality programming to students in need.
With your generous donation, our students were able to access an amazing assortment of fun filled activities in an enriching, secure environment. Our summers were a 5 day, 7 week camp with educational trips, athletics, dance, music, archery, and more. Many children come from families who cannot afford summer camp or the type of specialized instruction IHI provides.
We make an impact. This year one student who had poor attendance and many absences enrolled in our program and he was able to attend school more regularly because of the support we provided.
CAMP IMANI provides a safe fun filled environment & improve their outlook on life. Studies have shown that a happy child is more likely to succeed, have high self-esteem, develop their leadership abilities and be more willing to help others. CAMP IMANI believes that all children can succeed if given access to appropriate skills and opportunities.
Summer is quickly approaching, we hope you keep Imani House in mind.
