Our Organization is a women-led organization committed to improving the livelihoods of women and girls through sustainable, home-based income-generating activities. During the reporting period January to March 2026, the organization successfully supported 100 women and girls in establishing and expanding home-based goat farming initiatives.

This program has significantly contributed to increased household income, improved food security, and enhanced economic independence among participants. Many families have reported positive changes in their financial stability and overall well-being.

To increase income opportunities for women and girls through goat farming. To promote sustainable, home-based livelihood options. To strengthen women’s financial independence and decision-making power. To improve household nutrition and resilience

During this period, PROSHIPS carried out the activities: Provided goats to selected 100 women and girls from vulnerable households. Delivered basic training on goat rearing, feeding, and disease management. Conducted regular follow-up visits and technical support. Supported participants with guidance on small-scale livestock business management

Participants have started earning from selling goats, milk, and offspring. Many women reported their first independent income, which they are using for household expenses, children’s education, and savings.Families now have better access to nutrition through goat milk and improved financial capacity to meet daily needs.Women involved in the project are gaining confidence and playing a more active role in household decision-making.The home-based nature of goat farming allows women to manage their responsibilities while earning income, ensuring long-term sustainability.Total direct beneficiaries: 100 women and girls and Indirect beneficiaries: Approximately 400 family members. Over 80% of participants have reported increased household income. Many beneficiaries have already expanded their livestock through breeding

Several participants have successfully multiplied their goats and started small-scale businesses. One beneficiary shared that she was able to support her children’s school expenses through goat farming income, something that was not possible before. Limited access to veterinary services in some areas, Rising cost of animal feed, Need for advanced training on livestock business expansion. Continuous technical support is essential for success, Small livestock programs are highly effective for women’s economic empowerment and Community-based approaches increase participation and sustainability

PROSHIPS plans to:Expand the program to reach more women and girls, Provide advanced training on livestock management and marketing, Strengthen veterinary support services, Develop market linkages for better pricing of livestock products.

The home-based goat farming initiative has proven to be an effective and sustainable model for improving the livelihoods of women and girls. With continued support, this program has the potential to scale and create long-term economic transformation for vulnerable communities. PROSHIPS expresses sincere gratitude to GlobalGiving donors for their continued support in empowering women and transforming lives.
