ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD UNDER REVIEW:

2.1 Third and Final Phase of the Teacher Training Workshop

During the month under review, Learning Squared and Teaching Training Together (TTT) have started preparing for the third and final teacher training workshop for 12 teachers and 4 school leaders, including principals and school proprietors.  The final phase and certification of participants is slated for August 3-4, 2023. The training aimed to improve the quality of education in the school region, particularly teachers based in Kakata, Margibi County, Liberia.

The third and final phase of the Teacher Training Workshop by Learning Squared Liberia proved to be a valuable and impactful initiative in enhancing the professional development of teachers in Liberia. The workshop will teach teachers new teaching strategies, improve subject knowledge, and foster a collaborative learning environment. The outcomes and impacts of the workshop are expected to have a positive ripple effect on student learning and the education sector. Learning Squared Liberia's commitment to empowering teachers and improving education in Liberia is commendable, and such initiatives should be continued and scaled up to benefit more educators and students in the future.

2.2   Learning Squared Girls' Reading Clubs Project

This report focuses on establishing Girls' Reading Clubs in two schools in Monterrado and Margibi counties. The initiative aims to promote literacy, empower girls, and foster a love for reading among students. Two schools have been identified, the Ann Sandell Elementary and ROSADAN School System schools in Montserrado and Margibi counties. 35 girls aged 8- 16 will be recruited to participate. The initiative aims to promote literacy, empower girls, and foster a love for reading among students. The initiative will promote literacy by providing a platform for enhancing literacy skills among girls.  These clubs aim to improve reading comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking abilities by encouraging regular reading habits and providing access to various books.  Learning Squared Girls' Reading Clubs will also create a safe and supportive environment where girls can freely express themselves, develop confidence, and explore their potential. The clubs foster leadership skills, self-esteem, and a sense of empowerment among participating girls.

2.3 Recommendation and Conclusion

Learning Squared acknowledges and appreciates her distinct supporters, donors, GlobalGiving, Local communities, and schools for the commitment shown toward the successful implementation of the project. Had it not been for your endless effort, we wouldn't have reached thus far. Hence, Learning Squared Liberia is open to working with all children of Liberia, Mostly the under privilege children in rural Liberia.
