ACHIEVEMENTS FOR THE PERIOD UNDER REVIEW:

2.1 Launch of STEM Program in Reading Clubs

Learning Squared Liberia is excited to announce the launch of a new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program integrated into the Reading Clubs of two schools in Liberia.

This initiative aims to foster a love for science and technology among students from an early age, enhancing their problem-solving skills and preparing them for future opportunities in these critical fields. The program will provide hands-on learning experiences, access to STEM resources, and collaboration with educators to create a stimulating learning environment.

2.2 Community Engagement Meetings

To ensure the success and sustainability of the STEM program, Learning Squared Liberia has been conducting community engagement meetings with various stakeholders, including parents, teachers, community leaders, and local authorities. Over 10 community engagement meetings were organized in four communities. These meetings are crucial for gathering feedback and insights from the community and the progress of children who participated in our scholarship program. Topics included, raising awareness about the benefits of STEM education. Ensuring community buy-in and support for the program, addressing any concerns or challenges related to the implementation of the STEM program. The engagement meetings have highlighted the community's enthusiasm for the initiative and their commitment to supporting the education of their children.

The introduction of the STEM program in Reading Clubs is a significant step towards improving the quality of education in Liberia. By equipping students with essential STEM skills, Learning Squared Liberia is helping to build a future generation of innovators and problem solvers. The positive response from the community and stakeholders underscores the program's potential to make a lasting impact.
