Handwashing Facilities Continue to Protect High-Risk Areas
One of the most visible outcomes of your support remains the continued operation of handwashing facilities in high-risk locations.
Across schools, markets, community centers, and boda boda stages, these facilities provide thousands of opportunities each week for individuals to practice good hygiene and reduce transmission risks.
As new Ebola cases are monitored in Uganda and DRC, these stations serve as a constant reminder of the importance of prevention. Community members continue to use them regularly, demonstrating that hygiene behaviors have become increasingly routine.
Volunteers and local leaders are helping ensure that stations remain functional and stocked with essential supplies. Their efforts have helped sustain these important interventions over time.
While no single measure can stop Ebola alone, widespread access to handwashing facilities remains a powerful part of a comprehensive containment strategy.
Thank you for helping communities maintain one of the simplest and most effective defenses against disease transmission.
