Training Health Workers in Infection Prevention and Control
One of the most effective ways to stop Ebola transmission is to ensure that health workers have the knowledge and skills needed to safely manage suspected and confirmed cases. Thanks to your support, infection prevention and control training continues to strengthen healthcare facilities across vulnerable communities.
These training sessions focus on critical practices such as proper hand hygiene, safe use of protective equipment, patient isolation procedures, and environmental cleaning protocols. Health workers are also learning how to recognize Ebola symptoms early and respond appropriately to minimize risks.
Before these trainings, some facilities faced challenges related to preparedness and consistent application of infection control measures. Today, healthcare teams are demonstrating greater confidence and readiness when responding to potential Ebola cases.
The impact extends beyond individual facilities. Trained health workers share their knowledge with colleagues, creating a multiplier effect that strengthens the healthcare system as a whole.
By investing in capacity building, your support is helping create safer healthcare environments for patients, providers, and communities. These improvements not only contribute to the current Ebola response but also strengthen preparedness for future public health emergencies.
Thank you for helping equip frontline health workers with the skills they need to save lives safely and effectively.
