Strengthening Ebola Prevention in Schools Across Eastern DRC
As communities in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo continue to manage Ebola risks, schools remain a critical platform for prevention and awareness. Because of your support, targeted interventions are helping schools operate more safely while reinforcing public health practices.
Teachers are being supported with Ebola awareness information, enabling them to guide students on recognizing symptoms, practicing hygiene, and understanding prevention measures. Handwashing practices are being emphasized within school routines, ensuring that students adopt safe habits consistently.
As a result, students are becoming informed and proactive participants in Ebola prevention. They are not only practicing hygiene at school but also sharing these messages with their families and communities.
This creates a ripple effect, extending the reach of prevention efforts far beyond the classroom. Schools are transforming into centers of knowledge and behavior change.
Your support is helping ensure that education continues safely while strengthening community-wide awareness. By investing in school-based interventions, you are building a generation that is better equipped to respond to health challenges now and in the future.
