Conducting Joint Uganda–DRC Rapid Response Simulations
Preparedness is critical in managing Ebola outbreaks, especially in high-risk border regions where transmission can occur quickly. Because of your support, joint rapid response simulation exercises are being conducted between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo to strengthen coordination and readiness.
These simulations bring together health workers, local leaders, and response teams from both countries to practice real-time outbreak scenarios. Participants are guided through steps such as case identification, isolation, contact tracing, and communication protocols.
As a result, response teams are improving their ability to act quickly and effectively in real situations. Gaps in coordination are identified and addressed before actual emergencies occur, leading to stronger systems and better preparedness.
These exercises also foster collaboration and trust between cross-border teams, ensuring a more unified response.
Your support is helping transform preparedness into action—ensuring that when Ebola threats arise, teams are ready to respond without delay.
This proactive approach is critical in reducing response time and pre venting potential outbreaks from escalating.
