Strengthening Coordination with Border Security and Immigration Teams
Border security and immigration personnel play a critical role in managing movement between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Because of your support, coordination with these teams is being strengthened to enhance Ebola prevention efforts.
Security and immigration staff are being engaged with awareness on Ebola symptoms, prevention practices, and referral procedures. They are also being encouraged to support health teams in monitoring movement and guiding travelers on safety measures.
As a result, border management is becoming more integrated with public health efforts. Travelers receive consistent messaging, and potential risks are identified more quickly.
This collaboration ensures that prevention measures are reinforced at all points of entry, reducing the likelihood of cross-border transmission.
Your support is helping create a unified response system where health, security, and community efforts work together seamlessly.
By strengthening coordination at the border, you are contributing to a safer and more effective approach to Ebola containment—protecting communities on both sides.
