Empowering School Health Clubs to Lead Ebola Awareness
Schools are powerful platforms for spreading knowledge and influencing behavior. Because of your support, school health clubs in border communities across Uganda and DRC are being empowered to lead Ebola awareness efforts.
Students involved in these clubs are receiving guidance on Ebola symptoms, prevention practices, and effective communication strategies. They are then sharing this knowledge with their peers, families, and wider communities through discussions, demonstrations, and school activities.
As a result, awareness is spreading rapidly through youth-led initiatives. Students are becoming advocates for hygiene and safety, encouraging consistent handwashing and early reporting of symptoms.
This peer-to-peer approach is particularly effective, as messages delivered by students often resonate strongly within households and communities.
Your support is helping build a generation of informed and proactive young leaders who are contributing to Ebola prevention.
By investing in school health clubs, you are creating a ripple effect that extends far beyond the classroom—strengthening community-wide resilience and awareness.
