This project will provide free and low-cost breast and cervical cancer screening for women aged 30-60 in communities across Ghana. By offering mobile outreach, education, and follow-up support, we will help women detect cancer early-when treatment is most effective and survival chances are highest.
Breast and cervical cancers are among the leading causes of death for women in Ghana, and late detection is a major contributor. Many women aged 30-60 lack access to affordable screenings, awareness, and timely referrals. Barriers include cost, distance, fear, and misinformation, leaving many cases undiagnosed until late stages.
This project will provide women aged 30-60 with accessible breast and cervical cancer screenings, education, and follow-up support, enabling early detection and timely treatment.
Early detection significantly improves survival rates. This project will help reduce late-stage cancer diagnoses, empower women with knowledge about their health, and create a sustainable culture of preventive care in communities. Over time, families and communities will experience better health outcomes and reduced cancer mortality.
