Ukraine continues to endure daily drone and missile attacks. It is estimated that in 2025 alone, the country has been struck by 55,630 long-range missiles and drones, resulting in 2,514 civilian deaths and 12,142 people injured.
In the capital, Kyiv, more than 2,500 homes have been destroyed or damaged, leaving residents dangerously exposed—particularly during harsh winter conditions.
In response to these emergencies, the Ukrainian Red Cross operates emergency response units that deploy immediately to attack sites, supporting state first responders and assisting affected civilians. Our teams help clear rubble, provide first aid, evacuate residents, and offer initial psychological support.
When needed, assistance points are also set up at emergency sites, providing temporary shelter for people whose homes have been damaged, offering hot drinks, water, and snacks.
In the first hours and days following an attack, those affected receive essential relief items, including blankets, OSB boards, plastic sheeting and tarpaulins for temporary repairs, hygiene kits for adults and children, as well as drinking water and non-food item kits.
In 2025 alone, Ukrainian Red Cross teams have responded to more than 1,000 missile and drone attack sites, assisting over 15,000 civilians during these events across the country.
We continue to stand by those in need, and we thank you for standing with us.
