Fellowship Report

By Sherry DeLeon | Executive Director

Fellow for Nagaland, India
Fellow for Nagaland, India

It has been a busy quarter for current and future fellows. AFARI's current fellows are busy training community members about kitchen gardening, food preservation, and animal welfare. One fellow, from Malawi, recently attended an agricultural symposium in Tanzania to learn and share about sustainable agriculture. This is an important topic in this region, as Malawi is recovering from a deadly cyclone that caused both loss of lives and damages to homes and communities.

The new application cycle has opened for 2023-2024 fellows. Rural leaders and farmers from across Africa and Asia may submit their application until April 30th. For selected applicants, the fellowship will begin July 1, 2023.
