Project Report | Dec 2, 2024
Community driven projects for lasting change

By Sherry DeLeon | Executive Director

Thank you for your support of AFARI's Fellowship program. Our Fellows continue to engage their local communities with high-impact projects that create lasting change for rural communities. With support from donors like you, we have funded fourteen fellows in ten countries including Indonesia, India, Papua New Guines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Rwanda, and Cameroon. Projects have ranged from food security projects to youth training to domestic violence. The Fellowship program provides project funds and capacity building opportunities for ARI graduates with a project inspired by their time at ARI. This program helps to bridge the learning at ARI into project implementation in local communities.

This is an exciting time for this year's Fellows as they are reaching the mid-point of their projects. We have already seen significant impact in their communities as a result of their dedication and work. On behalf of AFARI, I want to thank you for your support and committment to rural leaders across the globe.
