Donations to this project helped us to provide mattresses to a local family and business severely affected by the recent floods in Krabi. The family’s business is to take tourists out on motor -cross trips in the nearby jungle. The floods devastated both their home and their business with flood water reaching as high as approximately six feet. All their motorbikes were destroyed and any equipment needed to work on and fix the bikes. Their home was flooded as well destroying many of their belongings.
The six mattresses provided a comfortable place for the recipients and their extended family (whom also share the same housing area) on which to sleep. One of our staff members, whom became good friends with the family, told us how happy and grateful the family was for this generous donation.
