Thank you so much for joining Hope for Justice in this fight against human trafficking since December 2018, we have consistently housed an average of 19 girls every month at our Lighthouse providing restorative care to put them on the path to recovery after their trafficking ordeal.
Your support has enabled us to help victims of sex trafficking like Nakry:
Nakry was betrayed by a friend of her parents who promised her hundreds of dollars to move from Cambodia to China for a good job. Nakry’s parents agreed to the deal and allowed her to move. Her parents were payed 500 dollars. Once in Phnom Penh, another man took Nakry and another child in a taxi to Vietnam, where she was taken to a Vietnamese brothel, full of teenage girls. At the brothel she was told her future was to be used by men. However, the Vietnamese police were able to arrest the men and Nakry was rescued.
Now Nakry is back in Cambodia safe and free at our Lighthouse, building a better future for herself. She has a great determination to change her life after what she’s been through as she is now pursuing her education, as she came to us with no way to support herself in any profession. We are able to help Nakry on her journey through education, so that she can begin to heal and pursue her dreams.
On behalf of Nakry and all the girls supported at our Lighthouse, ‘thank you’.
