Bappi Now empowered to attend education
Bappi is a 18 year old girl who has high ambitions and is presently studying at junior school Certificate (JSC) level with dreams to attend College one day. Bappi has a Social Problem in her community due to have her Dwarfism. When that time bappis comes in the world was very small size. From that time community people have negative attitude towards Bappi,s family. She lives in the rural village of Dewangonj Upazilla under Jalmalpur district in Northern Bangladesh. Bappi,s father is a Poor carpenter and the only earning member of the family. Her mother is house wife. She has a small house which is covered by tin roof. Her family’s economical condition is low level and they are daily life passing with very hard.
PROSHIPS met Bappi and her family in January 2015, gave her support to enroll in primary school level and have supported her ever since. Before Bappi was dropout from her school due to negative attitude to her physical problem and also family’s poverty. PROSHIPS continue to provide education materials support service and follow up with the family. With our support she is continue her education and she wants to support fulfill her dream. she have needed complete school uniform , upcoming session charge , tuition fees , Tiffin transportation expenses and Extra coaching fees for quality education achieve.
Bappi attends Dewangonj Girls High School and she is going to school regularly. PROSHIPS organised teacher training sessions with her school on creating an enabling environments for inclusive education for children with disabilities, which promote human rights and dignity. She is doing very well with her studies and also happy for own educational performance and carry out her education. Her school teachers are very happy. Her father and mother are also very happy with her visible improvement.
School teachers are thankful to PROSHIPS for their continued support towards Bappi,s development. In her upcoming future she will achieve her JuniorSchool Certificate (JSC) in this year and is hoping to continue her studies in the future, leading a full life of independence!
