Children with Disabilities (CWDs) are one of the most underprivileged, disadvantaged and Vulnerable groups in the community. Almost always, they are looked down upon, neglected and deprived of most of their basic human rights. Parents’ Negative attitude regarding the disable children, illiteracy Parents do not wants to enroll due to their hardcore poverty. Due to circumstances Proships operate a special school for Autism, Cerebral palsy Child Down syndrome Children education in our working area of Islampur Upazilla under Jamalpur district, Bangladesh.
It is specially designed to ensure the educational rights of the different type of Children with disabilities and support through facilitating proper education. For these reasons in our School students have needs tuition fees, session charge, school Uniform /school dress educational materials, Nutritional Tiffin and mobility devices for running smoothly. Students are included and access to mainstreaming education in the community and ensured education.
During the Period We are conducted discussions meeting with School student parents for regular schooling and counseling to the parents for importances of education . In this meeting district disability officer present as chief guest. on the 16th February 2019 published feature national news paper on education activity. They are head line on this feature of Light house on Education of Children with Disabilities through organization. Organization working with Mobility International USA on Education Program and we are aware by MIUSA.
In our school services provide to 100 Children and they are getting education opportunity .Students are interested coming to school and improve educational performance. Their attendance increased in the school, reduce drop out in the school. So we are submitting application to our donors for continuous donations for running our education Program smoothly and they are growing up as productive resource of the community through our services.
