Organized Discussion meeting on Promoting Children Educational Rights and Empowerment under the Education Program.
PROTIBANDHI SHISHU SHIKKHA O PARICHARJA SAMITY (PROSHIPS) organized Discussion & Opinion Sharing Meeting on Promoting Children and Women’s Rights and Empowerment under the Education Program. Program held On the Dated 21 January 2026 Venue: Islampur Proships Autism & Buddhi Protibandhi Biddaloy , Children with disabilities, especially those with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD), and their mothers often face multiple forms of discrimination, lack of awareness, and limited access to rights and services. To address these challenges, our organization organized a Discussion & Opinion Sharing Meeting aimed at promoting children’s and women’s rights and empowerment, strengthening collaboration among parents, teachers, and government stakeholders, and enhancing awareness of inclusive education and social protection.
Objectives of the Program was to raise awareness on children’s education rights and women’s empowerment, particularly for families of children with disabilities . To create a platform for parents and teachers to share experiences, challenges, and suggestions. To strengthen coordination between government institutions and the disability community. To provide winter support to NDD students through blanket distribution. To promote social inclusion and joy through a collective celebration
Parents of children with disabilities, Teachers from NDD and inclusive education institutions, Students with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD), Government officials, Representatives of the organizing organization. A total of 250 participants attended the program.
Honorable Upazilla Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Islampur Upazilla district Jamalpur presenc were as Chief guest , Other respected government officers from the Upazilla administration, Education and social welfare department representatives. Their presence added great value and encouragement to the program.
Discussion & Opinion Sharing Session , The program began with an interactive discussion session focusing on- Rights of children with disabilities, Role of women, especially mothers, in advocacy and empowerment, Importance of inclusive education and supportive learning environments
Government services and social safety net programs, Parents and teachers actively shared their opinions, challenges, and success stories. The Honorable UNO and other government officials listened attentively and provided guidance, assurances of support, and policy-level insights.
The Honorable UNO emphasized- The government’s commitment to protecting children’s and women’s rights, The importance of inclusive education for children with disabilities, The need for collective efforts from families, teachers, NGOs, and government institutions, He appreciated the initiative of the organization for working with children with disabilities and their families.
After the discussion session, the Honorable UNO distributed 120 blankets among NDD students as winter support. This activity provided immediate relief to vulnerable families during the cold season and was warmly appreciated by parents and students.
At the end of the program, a Cake Festival was organized. Parents, teachers, students, government officials, and staff participated together. This joyful celebration promoted inclusion, happiness, and a sense of community among all participants.
Outcomes of the Program : Increased awareness among parents and teachers about children’s and women’s rights, Strengthened relationship between government authorities and the disability community, Immediate winter support provided to 120 NDD students, Enhanced confidence and motivation among parents, especially mothers, Created a joyful and inclusive environment through collective celebration.
The Discussion & Opinion Sharing Meeting held on 21 January 2026 was successfully conducted with active participation from parents, teachers, students, and government representatives. The presence of the Honorable UNO as Chief Guest significantly strengthened the program’s impact. The blanket distribution and cake festival added both humanitarian and emotional value to the event. Overall, the program contributed positively to promoting children’s rights, women’s empowerment, and social inclusion of persons with disabilities.
