Support for Education of 100 children,Bangladesh.

   Rajan will achieve junior school Education ending year.

Rajan is 14 years old boy. He lives with his parents at Dewanganj Bazaripa under municipality of Dewangonj district of Jamalpur .His father name is Paddi shekh and he is a poor labor of Decorator shop and mother is house wife. His father is an only earning member in their five members’ family. They have a very small house which is covered by tin shed. Rajan is younger than his one sister and one brother. He is children with physical disability and condition in Cerebral Palsy (CP). At the early stage 4-5 years old he was well and then slowly facing problem, cannot sit alone, cannot scramble, cannot stand alone and also cannot walk. His parents were desperation after born a disabled child. Community people also give them so frequently. PROSHIPS find out him and complete Assessment in April 2007 and find out problem for the development. That time he can’t communicate with others, continuation drooling, with balance sitting problem, can’t use toilet properly, can’t use hand for ADL also problem himself dressing and undressing. Rajan is not growing as like other child his physical development is delay and now he is wheel chair user.

Due to poor family, PROSHIPS continuing provide to their rehabilitation service and follow up at home. With support of them Rajan is ready for enrollment to Primary education and he is inclusion under Government primary school and provide wheel chair for moving, social safety net program and received education materials and scholarship for continuous education, Cold wear, received treatment service through referral services, Disability certificate, and Loan received from Social services offices for the economic development of the family, Birth certificate received from Union parishad (Unit of local govt).

Now Rajan reads Dewangonj Govt. High School and he is going to school regularly and read class Eight(viii) after counseling with the school teacher & his family. Parents support to home work and assist to making school lesion. Teachers and family members are happy for his performance of study. Neighbors are told organizations activities are very much appreciated for well being the community.

In this connection we are organizing training session are Creating on enabling environment of inclusive Education of special need children /Children With Disabilities   of the Promoting and establishing of Human Rights and social Dignity of livelihoods of Children With Disabilities (CWDs) is one of the important activities of the Development of the children with Disabilities through Care and Education Project. The main objective of this activity is too so that they could by able to make the environment desirable for the Children With Disabilities(CWDs), could be able to make a disability friendly society, could be aware and could be necessary Initiatives able of Children With Disabilities (CWDs). Training participants and Upazilla education officer are expressed to work and thank to organize Orientation for the inclusive education of Special need children.

Rajan parents are very happy with his visible improvement. They thanks to PROSHOPS rehabilitation work for their continue support for his development. They expect in upcoming future and ending the year Rajan will achieve Junior School Certificate (JSC) education and hopeful to continuous study in future and lead his life full of independency and a happy life as others.
