Worldwide Program Success

By Daniel | Director of Development

Hello everyone,

We wanted to update you on our progress across all our programs worldwide.

At Helping Hands School in Cambodia, the sports classes are up and running again. There are two main areas for growth in the months ahead: curriculum development and support through obtaining more resources. The classes work well, but they can be complemented by adding new instruction that expose the students to different kinds of games, and more general lessons in health and fitness. While Helping Hands School has a great space for the classes, and some good sports equipment, that is not the case for the partner schools. There are currently six partner schools that we were able to fit into the relaunch. The Head Teacher of each school was consulted first, and they were all keen to see their students engaging in sports. Taking on all the partner schools means there are over 2,200 extra students attending our sports classes once a week. Creating a suitable schedule was not easy, and for the first month, it was closely monitored and adjusted. Now the program is a large success and running well.

At the PAWS program, our team of veterinary specialists have been hard at work driving to villages, neutering, providing healthcare, and educating people on safe animal practices. Our application to track our programs is operating well and gives us the exact scope of our services. With these metrics, we know the quantitative information, have tracked these over the past few years, and can project the future growth of the program. We are also adding a new staff member, passionate to see this program succeed.

At Picaflor house, the greenhouse is sprouting, and the cooks are busy in the kitchen, working hard to feed the kids a nutritious lunch every day. This way, they get the necessary nutrients to keep growing and learning. We also had a great group visit from Durham University in the UK recently. Besides their physical work, each student personally raised a large amount of money to fund lunches, the staff, and the important work happening at Picaflor House. With this amount, we can continue to change the trajectory of these Peruvian childrens’ lives, providing education, and a safe place to grow into their bright futures.

Overall, we are moving forward, out of the pandemic, catching children up in their educational journeys, and helping those less fortunate. We have new interns coming in with fresh new ideas, who are eager to contribute, making more of a difference as we continue our mission through all our successful programs, and the valuable work in which Globalteer is engaged in worldwide.

If you want to learn more about us, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Best,

Daniel
