One Global Mission: Empowering Children, Communities & Compassion
From the highlands of Peru to the villages of Cambodia, Globalteer continues to empower vulnerable children and strengthen communities through education, sports, and compassion for animals.
This quarter, our teams provided free education to over 420 children, veterinary care to 900+ animals, and sports and life skills training to more than 2,000 students. Across continents, our projects share one vision: creating opportunity, wellbeing, and hope where it’s needed most.
Education Without Borders: Peru & Cambodia
Education remains at the heart of Globalteer’s mission. Through Helping Hands Cambodia, Picaflor House, and the Mobile Library, children in remote communities gain access to learning, nourishment, and the confidence to dream.
Cambodia: Learning that Transforms Lives
At Helping Hands Cambodia, 362 children received daily education, nutritious meals, and workshops on hygiene and health. Classrooms were alive with creativity, from Recycling Relay and reading circles to educational field trips connecting lessons with real life experiences.
Our upgraded school library now supports stronger literacy and public speaking skills. This term also celebrated new milestones: two students, Nita and Ponna, became the first in their families to attend university, continuing the ripple effect of empowerment.
Despite flooding during the rainy season, attendance remained strong thanks to community resilience and teacher dedication.
Peru: Building Confidence in Oropesa
In Cusco’s rural village of Oropesa, Picaflor House continues to provide after-school education and meals for 60 children. From July to September, 2,672 meals and 122 instructional hours were delivered, including newly launched computer literacy classes supported by donations of laptops and iPads.
Workshops on rights, creativity, and teamwork helped children grow socially as well as academically. Cultural exchanges with Pipers Corner School (UK) brought global learning experiences and friendships, while volunteer-led activities such as “Pizza Day” inspired teamwork and cultural pride.
Children like Andrés, Sahori, and Sury exemplify how individualized attention can turn shyness into confidence and challenges into success.
Mobile Library: Learning Beyond Walls
High in the Andes, the Mobile Library reached children from remote communities like Kallarayan, bringing books, storytelling, and art to strengthen literacy. Over the quarter, students read 37 texts, improved comprehension, and participated in creative workshops like kite-making and theater.
Despite harsh weather and long travel distances, their enthusiasm remains unwavering — proving that learning can thrive anywhere with the right support.
PAWS: Protecting Animals, Strengthening Communities
In the Cusco region of Peru, the PAWS project continues to tackle animal suffering and promote responsible pet ownership through free veterinary care, sterilization, and education.
From July to September 2025, our mobile clinic delivered veterinary care to 912 animals, 678 dogs and 234 cats, across 22 rural communities where veterinary services are scarce.
PAWS performed 75 sterilization surgeries this quarter, preventing countless unwanted litters and reducing future suffering. Our team also joined an Animal Welfare and Behavior Course organized by the Municipality of Santiago, strengthening collaboration with local authorities and inspiring youth to become advocates for animal care.
The story of Chiquibum, a young dog treated for a severe leg injury, reminds us why this work matters, transforming pain into healing and despair into joy.
A Model for Change: In recent months, the work Globalteer leads through PAWS has gained even stronger local support. The Municipality of Santiago has now replicated our mobile veterinary clinic model, hiring veterinarians and running ongoing sterilization campaigns using our same operational protocols. We are now working together in a coordinated effort to improve animal welfare and reduce suffering in the region. This recognition and collaboration demonstrate the effectiveness of PAWS’ approach and its growing influence in public welfare initiatives.
Sports with a Purpose: Cambodia
Physical activity is a gateway to confidence, equality, and teamwork. Globalteer’s Sports Program in rural Cambodia now reaches over 2,000 children across 7 schools, providing structured physical education, leadership training, and new opportunities for growth.
This quarter, our coaches introduced creative links between sports and social awareness. Students learned teamwork and environmental care through activities like the “Recycling Relay”, blending play with purpose. Basketball, football, and group games encouraged coordination, respect, and inclusion.
Two leadership workshops helped students develop communication and collaboration skills — vital lessons that extend far beyond the playing field.
Stories of Empowerment
Rachana, who once lacked confidence, now leads her peers in team activities, seeing sports as a source of joy and pride.
Reaksmey, a passionate football player, dreams of becoming a coach to help other children find purpose through sports.
Their stories show that play can build resilience, self-belief, and a sense of belonging.
New Facilities for Community Wellbeing
Construction of a new community sports complex near Helping Hands reached 80% completion, featuring a football field, volleyball courts, and clean-water systems.
New playground equipment was also installed in all partner schools, enriching daily life for hundreds of children.
Looking Ahead: Temple Run 2026
Excitement is building for the Temple Run 2026, a major fundraising event set among the temples of Angkor. All proceeds will support education and sports programs for Cambodian children. Teachers, students, and runners from around the world are coming together, proving that every mile can make a difference.
