We are very grateful for the opportunity GlobalGiving provided us, which enabled us to get in touch with you, Our Beloved Donors, during the December 2014 Open Challenge. We thank you very much for your generosity and willingness to join us and partnership with us in our journey of serving humanity.
We are glad to report the purchase of a new motor Cycle for $1,300.00, our very first action after the December 2014 Open Challenge, thanks to your huge, generous donors (See it in the first photo with our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Divine Tembon on his way to Muteff, one of the remote, rural communities where one of our small Health Care facilities is located).
According to our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Divine Tembon, "Since we got this Motor Cycle a week ago, our travel to remote, rural communities, especially Muteff and Ngemsebo, has been greatly facilitated, pleasurable and fruitful. We have been able to provide health care services to over fifty (50) elderly patients in these two remote, rural communities."
The following quote from Mama Chuo Mary, in the second photo, sums up the impact of our Community Health Care Worker Project so far: “I was told I have high blood pressure, the doctor also said I have HIV. I don’t know how it got into me. I live alone in this house. My children are all parents now and live in the cities. They don’t want their children (my grandchildren) to stay with me. I guess they think my sickness will jump into them. I’m just left all alone. When you come around, I feel alive once again.”
We will be providing you with monthly reports and updates of our accomplishments. Again, thank you immensely for your support and partnership.
