The importance of community investment

Mesa Comunitaria Event

Here at The Solidarity Project we seek to foster sustainable development and empowerment by investing in local leadership and communities. Through this initiative, we recognize the importance of grassroots efforts in driving positive change and seek to support and amplify the voices of local leaders.

This past quarter, we have been spending time doing just that - investing in our local communities and cultivating local leadership to determine the most pressing problems and mobilize to solve them! This is the behind the scenes work that we do prior to our Mesa Comunitaria micro-grant event and project execution.  During this phase, we seek to identify and support local leaders and strive to equip these individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively lead and mobilize their communities.  Additionally, we seek to build community capacity through workshops, foster collaboration and solidarity, and maximize community engagement and participation in the community development planning process.

This process proves to be effective, as this year we have already had two new partner communities come forward and ask to work with The Solidarity Project. We support 55 community leaders and a total of 9 partner communities. Annually we impact more than 15,000 people.  None of this would be possible without your incredible support!

Thank you for helping us invest in local leadership and communities!  We believe this is essential for fostering sustainable development, empowerment, and resilience. Through the Solidarity Project, we are committed to supporting and amplifying the voices of local leaders, building community capacity, and promoting collaboration and solidarity. Together, we can create positive change and build a more inclusive and equitable world!  Thank you for your support!
