Dear Friend of The Solidarity Project,

Because of you, 2025 has been full of movement, momentum, and meaningful change in Honduras. Guided by the priorities set by local leaders through Mesas Comunitarias (Community Roundtables), we’ve continued investing in community-led projects across the municipality of Cedros, Talanga, and beyond!

Here’s a quick snapshot of what your support has helped bring to life so far this year:

El Aguacatal – School Playground
When building a soccer field proved tricky, the community quickly shifted gears. Their new priority? A children’s playground in front of the school! A joyful and safe space for learning and play is on the way.

El Tule – Pedestrian Bridge Repairs
Old, worn wood is being replaced to ensure children and families can safely cross the river every day.

El Carrizal – Bridge Construction
Rainy season used to mean isolation. Now, a small concrete bridge is under construction to keep the community connected year-round.

Nuevo San Diego (Talanga) – School Warehouse
Halfway there! This warehouse will store school supplies and support community logistics—huge progress for a growing community.

Soroguara – New School Playground
Play is essential—and a brand-new playground is in the works right on school grounds.

Coa Abajo – School Dining Hall
Construction has started on a lunchroom for students. Better meals = better learning!

El Ocotal – Road Project Feasibility Study
Every journey starts with a plan! The community is evaluating options to improve access with road repairs or new construction.

Majada Verde – Community Center Renovation
In partnership with the Talanga Municipal Government, the community center will soon be revitalized. Materials are ready—just waiting for the right moment to transport them in!

El Llano – School Improvements
Fresh paint and a new community mural are brightening the local school and bringing people together.

La Laguna – Soccer Field Lighting & School Bathroom Remodel
This dual project is boosting fun and function—lighting up community games and improving sanitation for students.

Cantoral – Community Stage Construction
A new public stage is on the way—perfect for performances, celebrations, and civic events.

Each project is a reflection of community vision, local leadership, and your unwavering support. We’re honored to stand alongside our partners in Honduras—walking with them, not in front of them—as they turn ideas into action.

A huge shout-out to our Field Director Melisa Raudales, our local leaders and collaborators, and to YOU—our global community of changemakers. Your belief in grassroots transformation is what makes this work possible.

With gratitude and excitement for what’s ahead,
