The Support LGBTQIA+ Youth Protection project, implemented by Elite Star Foundation, is focused on improving access to emergency assistance, counselling, education support, and livelihood training for vulnerable young people facing violence, homelessness, discrimination, and social exclusion in Nigeria.
As of the current project information available on GlobalGiving, the project has a total funding target of $8,500, with $0 raised through the platform and $8,500 remaining. The recorded number of donors is zero, and no monthly donors have been recorded. This means that the project has not yet received funding through its GlobalGiving page to support the planned activities. Consequently, no expenditure can be attributed to GlobalGiving donations at this stage.
The proposed budget priorities include emergency shelter referrals, food assistance, counselling, peer support, educational aid, vocational training, and referrals for legal and protection services. These interventions are intended to help vulnerable young people access essential support, improve their well-being, continue their education, and develop skills for greater independence.
Financially, the project remains at the initial resource-mobilisation stage, with the full funding target outstanding. No expenditure figures or beneficiary numbers have been published on the project page, so specific claims about funds spent, services delivered, or young people assisted cannot yet be verified from the available information. Elite Star Foundation will need to maintain clear financial records documenting any funds received through other channels, expenditure incurred, and activities completed to ensure that future progress reports accurately reflect the project's implementation and financial position.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
