The widespread destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure has left clean water as one of the most urgent humanitarian needs for displaced Palestinian families living in camps across southern Gaza, including Al-Bass Camp, Al-Amal Camp, and Al-Zaytoun Camp. With water networks severely damaged and essential services disrupted, thousands of families have been left without access to safe drinking water and are forced to rely on unsafe sources that pose serious health risks.
Many families now depend on groundwater wells, but most of this water is too salty or contaminated to be safely consumed without desalination—something that is largely unavailable under the current humanitarian conditions. Some families even attempt to desalinate seawater using basic, improvised methods, but these efforts are extremely difficult, produce only limited amounts of water, and fall far short of meeting their daily needs.
In response to this crisis, we continue our clean water distribution campaign to ensure that vulnerable families receive safe drinking water, particularly children, the elderly, and those with medical conditions who are at the greatest risk of waterborne diseases. Every delivery of clean water helps protect an entire family from illness while restoring a measure of dignity and hope during an incredibly difficult time.
Today, access to clean water is not simply a humanitarian service—it is a lifeline. Thanks to your generous support, we have been able to provide safe drinking water to many displaced families. However, the need remains overwhelming, and thousands of people are still waiting for this essential assistance.
Your continued generosity enables us to expand this campaign and reach more displacement camps, ensuring that every child and every family has access to one of life's most basic necessities: clean, safe water. Thank you for standing with us and making this life-saving work possible.
