Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to deliver several loaves of fresh, warm bread to Zakaria, an orphaned boy living in one of the displacement camps in northern Syria.
Zakaria lost his father at a young age and now lives with his mother and his two younger sisters, who depend on the family’s limited resources for survival. Despite his young age, Zakaria does everything he can to support his mother and help care for his sisters, carrying responsibilities that no child should have to bear.
Life inside the camp is extremely difficult. Families struggle daily to secure even the most basic necessities, and bread remains one of the most essential foods for survival. During our visit, we were able to hand Zakaria several loaves of freshly baked bread. His smile reflected both gratitude and relief, knowing that his family would have food to share that day.
What may seem like a simple bundle of bread can mean so much to a family facing displacement, poverty, and hardship. Through your support, Zakaria and his loved ones were reminded that they are not alone and that compassionate people around the world continue to stand beside them.
Your generosity brings comfort, dignity, and hope to orphaned children and vulnerable families. Thank you for helping us reach Zakaria and many others who continue to endure difficult circumstances in northern Syria.
