In one of the orphan camps in northern Syria lives Lara, a young orphan girl who lost her father at an age when she should have been surrounded by love, safety, and the joys of childhood. Instead, displacement, poverty, and the pain of loss have made even the simplest necessities difficult to obtain.
Thanks to your generous support, we were able to provide fresh bread to Lara. She received this small gift with a smile that words can hardly describe. In the camps, where hardship and deprivation dominate daily life, a loaf of bread can become a meal a child waits for throughout the entire day.
Lara lives in extremely difficult humanitarian conditions inside a camp that lacks even the most basic necessities of life. Orphans and widowed families struggle every day to secure food and essential needs, while rising prices and limited opportunities leave many families unable to provide enough for their children.
These loaves of bread were not simply food for Lara. They were a message of compassion and care, reminding her that she is not forgotten and that kind hearts still stand beside her despite the distance.
