Fresh Bread Brings Relief to a Disabled Widow

By AMAL ALUMMA ORGANIZATION INC | project Leader

Thanks to your generous support, we were able to distribute fresh bread to displaced families living in a widows’ camp in the northern countryside of Aleppo, Syria. For families facing poverty, displacement, and limited access to stable income, something as simple as fresh bread remains an essential part of daily survival.

Among those who received this assistance was a widow living with a physical disability who is unable to walk and relies on a wheelchair for mobility. Because of her condition, she is unable to work and has very limited means to provide for her daily needs.

For her, receiving fresh bread is not simply a food distribution. It means having one of the most basic necessities secured without the physical and financial burden of trying to obtain it herself. Her circumstances reflect the daily reality of many vulnerable widows living in displacement camps who have few opportunities to earn an income or support themselves independently.

Through this project, our team delivered fresh bread directly to vulnerable widows and displaced families, helping ease part of the daily pressure they face in securing food. Bread may seem like a simple form of assistance, but for a family struggling to meet its most basic needs, it can make a meaningful difference.

Your support allows us to reach people who are often among the most vulnerable in their communities—widows, people with disabilities, elderly individuals, and families without a reliable source of income.

On behalf of this widow and every family reached through the distribution, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our donors. Your generosity is helping provide not only food, but also comfort, dignity, and reassurance to families enduring extremely difficult circumstances.

Every loaf of bread you help provide is a reminder that these vulnerable families have not been forgotten.
