Life-Saving Food, Water & Medical Aid for Families

For families displaced in Abu Mazid Camp in Deir al-Balah, Gaza, finding enough food has become a daily struggle. With limited income, scarce supplies, and difficult living conditions, many families are forced to make painful choices about how to meet even their most basic needs.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we carried out a hot meal distribution for vulnerable displaced residents, with special attention to widows, young children, elderly people, and families without a stable source of income.

The meals were freshly prepared and distributed directly inside the camp, allowing families to receive warm food without having to worry about purchasing ingredients, finding cooking fuel, or preparing meals under difficult shelter conditions.

For many of the widows living in the camp, this assistance offered more than food. Caring for children while facing displacement and financial hardship can be exhausting, particularly when there is no reliable income or support system. Receiving a ready-to-eat meal gave these mothers and caregivers a moment of relief and reassurance that their children would have something warm to eat.

Children were among those most visibly affected by the distribution. In a life filled with uncertainty, a freshly prepared meal provided a small sense of normalcy and comfort. Elderly residents also benefited greatly, especially those who face difficulty accessing food or preparing meals on their own.

Every meal distributed represented care in a tangible form. It helped ease hunger, restore a measure of dignity, and remind families that they remain seen and supported despite the hardship surrounding them.
