For displaced families in Al-Aqsa Camp, Deir al-Balah, Gaza, the recent rise in temperatures has added another difficult challenge to an already fragile humanitarian situation.
Families are living in temporary shelters while facing limited access to safe drinking water at a time when the need for hydration is becoming even greater. Under intense summer conditions, obtaining sufficient clean water each day is essential, particularly for children, elderly residents, widows, and other vulnerable members of the community.
To help families cope with these conditions, we distributed safe and clean drinking water throughout Al-Aqsa Camp, bringing this vital resource directly to people who are struggling to obtain it on their own.
For a displaced family, a supply of drinking water means more than simply relieving thirst. It means being able to care for children during the hottest hours of the day. It means greater reassurance for elderly family members and less pressure on households already struggling to afford food, medicine, and other necessities.
In the middle of extreme heat, water becomes one of the most urgent forms of humanitarian assistance we can provide. A single distribution can bring immediate comfort to families, but the continuing shortage means that regular access remains deeply important.
The families we reached have already endured displacement and uncertainty. The rising temperatures and lack of sufficient clean water make their daily circumstances even harder, which is why continued humanitarian assistance remains essential.
Because of your generosity, families in Al-Aqsa Camp received safe drinking water when they needed it most. Every contribution helps us continue these distributions and reach more vulnerable people with this life-sustaining support.
