In one of the displacement camps in northern Gaza, a number of orphaned children are living under extremely difficult humanitarian conditions after losing one or both of their parents. Many of them now depend heavily on humanitarian assistance to meet their most basic daily needs.
As part of our ongoing efforts to support the most vulnerable children, we provided shopping vouchers to orphaned children living in the camp, giving them the opportunity to choose and purchase the items they personally need.
A shopping voucher is more than financial assistance. It gives children and their families the freedom to make their own choices at a time when even basic necessities can be difficult to obtain. For these children, being able to select what they need for themselves brings a sense of dignity, independence, and happiness.
The impact of this initiative could be seen in the children’s smiles and excitement as they benefited from the vouchers. It reminds us that humanitarian support is not only about meeting material needs; it can also restore a sense of hope, dignity, and normalcy to children who have already endured so much.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, your contributions were transformed into direct assistance that reached orphaned children and gave them the opportunity to choose what they needed with dignity and joy.
