Dear Friends,
As we look back on 2025 and reflect, we are struck not only by the organization’s growth, but our role in helping redefine what is possible for Veterans, Military Families, and the service dog industry as a whole. This year marked continued development of the Healing Quarters facilities, creating more space for healing, learning, and connection, and allowing WCC to serve more individuals through an environment intentionally designed for recovery.
Our vision extends far beyond any single location. In 2025, WCC supported program delivery in five states spanning coast to coast. In collaboration with an exceptional alliance of partners, we expanded program delivery, bringing our innovative model to Veterans and Military Families wherever the need exists. By engaging Veterans in the therapeutic training of service dogs, we foster purpose, agency, and renewed identity—transforming the healing journey into one of contribution rather than dependency.
At the same time, the science is catching up to what we have long believed. A growing body of research validates the profound impact service dog organizations can have on Veteran recovery, demonstrating that both the placement of service dogs and participation in their training improve mental health, resilience, and quality of life.
WCC is proud to stand at the intersection of compassion, innovation, and evidence—shaping a future where effective, research-driven support is accessible to all who have served. Thank you for believing in this vision and helping us build it together.
