Support Mobile Libraries for Children in Kabul

Dear Friends of Charmaghz,

I want to share with you some exciting updates from our Mobile Libraries. Since the beginning of 2023, we have had over 300,000 visits from children, with 54% of those visits made by girls.  Additionally, we have grown to operating 31 Mobile Libraries, which include 5 Bus Libraries, 6 Van Libraries, and 20 Box Libraries. This type of growth has allowed us to reach even more underserved areas of Kabul and provide needed literacy and numeracy skills to children. 

Without your support, we would not be able to have this kind of impact on the children of Afghanistan. My team and I are deeply grateful for your ongoing support.

The situation in Afghanistan continues to be challenging, with tight restrictions placed on education–particularly girls' education. However, when children come to Charmaghz's Mobile Libraries they are greeted by our Librarians, who strive to not only share the joy of reading but also engage children in critical thinking activities. These efforts are utilized to help children gain skills, which they often do not receive even if they attend school.

We firmly believe that the work carried out by Charmghaz is needed and we can see the positive impact it is making in the lives of the children who visit us and within their communities.

This type of impact is impossible without you and I want you to know how thankful we are for your support! You are helping us reach some of Kabul's most underserved children and make a lasting difference in their lives.
