Project Report | Feb 8, 2023
Jaffa Interfaith Encounter group's encounters

By Dr. Yehdua Stolov | Executive Director

7.12.22

New friends have joined us. We did another round of introductions, and it was very exciting to hear how each and every one sees the interfaith initiative for peace as a tool for connection and dialogue.

In the next encounter we will continue to discuss the goals of the group, and the upcoming topics we would like to talk about.

2 October

It was a really fruitful encounter. We talked about living together in Jaffa, about the importance of knowing both languages, about joint education and more. Thoughts arose about setting up a tent ("Jaffa conversation"/temporary name) where we would meet and thus be able to reach more women.

10 August

It was a fruitful and interesting meeting on the topic of prophecies and prophets, and Nahid closed us all when she said that the group meeting is a "self-fulfilling prophecy".

7 June

At the encounter we had the privilege of hosting three members of the Nablus area interfaith meeting group and another guest from Hebron. Again we held a round of introductions and moved on to talk about the house.

Daniela opened up that a house is not just four walls and a ceiling but the human content and Yehuda responded that this is also reflected in the mezuzah laws - in which a house is required, but only a house used for people's residence.
