The Nablus Region Interfaith Encounter group met at the Samaritans village at Mt Gerizim for a special Sukkot (=Feast of Tebernacles, celebrated by Jews but also by Samaritans) gathering.
According to the Samaritan customs the ceiling of the Sukkah is beautifully made of fruits and vegetables.
After visiting the Samaritan Sukkot, which was a new experience not only for the Muslims but also for the Jews of the group, we visited the Tahina factory where we got to try fresh, hot tahina straight from the production line!
Afterwards there were visits to the synagogue and archeological site on top of the mountain.
