In the Democratic Republic of Congo, many orphaned and vulnerable children have limited access to books, educational materials and safe spaces where they can explore their curiosity. Our Support Orphaned Children's Library project aims to create such a space—a library where children can discover literature, enjoy carefully selected films, explore visual storytelling and develop stronger reading, communication and critical-thinking skills. The project is currently in its preparation and resource-mobilization phase, with our team identifying trainers and learners and preparing for implementation.
Our fundraising goal is US$5,000, and we have already received US$97 in support. This is an important first step, but we still need the support of additional donors to reach the resources required to establish the library and begin the planned activities. We are committed to transparency and will continue to share updates as the project moves from preparation toward implementation.
We sincerely thank everyone who has already supported this vision, and we are especially grateful to GlobalGiving for helping connect our local initiative with donors around the world. With your continued support, we believe we can reach our goal and create a lasting learning opportunity for children who deserve the chance to read, imagine and build a better future. Please join us today—every contribution brings this library one step closer to becoming a reality
