October 2017 Activity Report

OCTOBER 2017. ACTIVITY REPORT

Our Donors,

We present to you our activity report of October 2017. We are very happy because you taught us to smile and breathe. You forgo your important issues just to attend to people like us. God bless you. The activities include:

Visits:

Out: The children went out Sunday worship and some also visited the Kumba main market.

In: Visits this period were not frequent but we thank God for always taking care of us.

Center assistance

The blind lady and her child were assisted with food stuff and some widows and underprivileged ones were not left out. [Very soon we will raise money for her and you will get to know more about Bih]

Health

First aid was administered by Aunty Franca, who is in charge of first Aid. She took care of some cases of malaria, cough and cold.

Education

Studies at the center and external (Government Basic Primary and Secondary School- Kumba Mbeng and Government Technical High School Kang Barombi) continues. We struggle to meet up with school needs including fees and payment of teachers.

Celebration: A visitor came to celebrate her Birthday with the children. It was the first time he came to the orphanage. He was introduced by somebody who has been coming to the orphanage. He came with drinks and cooked food and the children enjoyed very much.

Agriculture:  Harvesting of cash crops, food stuffs like coco yams, cassava, plantains, yam, vegetable for consumption.

Animal Husbandry: 600 chickens were sold at 3 weeks old and 500 one-day old were purchased. 1 matured pig is sold.

Building project

We partitioned the classes with temporary materials to have two classes per floor.

Conclusion

Donors we are grateful and thankful for your contribution in this service.

A report by Carine, Bridget and Jeffelive (girls of the house):

Laundry: We have a bore hole and we have good and clean drinking water.

Cooking: Mama taught us how to cook and to cook in the evening for the next day.

Education: We, Bridget, Carine, Jeffelive and also Elive sometimes teach the little children and help them in doing their homework.

Class room: We have classes 1 to 3 and they are able to have teachers and a comfortable place to sit.

Play time: We played swings , we played tiers and we played hide and seek and many other things.

Eating time: We eat three times per day and we eat rice and stew, fufu corn, reu, conchaff, Achu, rice abd beans, jellof rice and many other foods.
