Hello Donors, your effort in this service has brought us great changes. God bless you all in your under-takings.
Activities that unfolded in the centre are:
Rotative time table.
The children met with their assignments
Visit:
In the centre:
Church groups, Individuals, social groups came around with gifts of several kinds.
Out of the centre:
The 16th of June was the day of the African Day of the Child and we celebrated with other houses and the Ministry of Social Affairs in a major event in Kumba with hundreds of children
Agriculture:
It continues with planting and weeding
Animal Husbandry:
The 400 birds were sold and 800 birds were purchased.
Two more fish ponds to add to the previous ones.
Extension of poultry farm continues with molding of blocks and rod fixed for the pillars.
Upgrading of piggery with cement houses and gutters
Health
Some children were sick and first aid drugs administered. They are now recovered.
Education:
The construction of the school began this May with the reception of funds by Reach Out. The construction of two Classrooms with Decking, pillars and roofing was finished this June with help from our technician and the older boys, especially Charles.
Studies are going on smoothly also some of the children (aged 9-12) are attached to the senior boys and technician for training in building and construction. They are helping with the upgrading of the main structure from timber planks to cement.
Placement
Two less privileged orphans were partially placed in the centre. Divine Grace (2) and Ashu (3). The mother is a very young widow under economic difficulties.
One 3 week old baby also spent two weeks with s. He was placed by the Social Centre in Kumba.
Death
One of the children lost her mother, and attended the funeral.
Conclusion:
Donors, thank you all so much for your unrelenting support to this centre.
