By Lynda Steiner | Hands around the World Project Co-ordinator
In recent months, several UK volunteers have had the privilege of visiting Pizz school in Zambia. When they return and arrive at the Monmouth office for their debriefing session, there are 2 observations that many of them share.
The first brings some sadness to the Hands around the World team because it relates to the poverty in the wider community and outlying villages – we just don’t have the resources to help all the children who need and deserve a better life.
The second observation brings a glow of pride. Our volunteers note, with some surprise, that the children who attend Pizz School smile and look clean, adequately clothed, healthy and well-nourished. Of course they do!
This is because what our overseas partners achieve with your help, changes lives and brings hope and happiness to orphaned and vulnerable children.
What we are doing together, works, and makes a real difference. Thank you!
