Challenge

Despite significant conservation efforts, limited resources hinder continuous monitoring and rapid response to security threats across protected areas. Many parks face challenges in managing diverse wildlife populations and combating various threats, including poaching, fence theft, and human-wildlife conflicts.

Solution

The project proposes comprehensive solutions, including establishing the OPS Room to enhance surveillance and response capabilities, supporting wildlife guardians through the Ranger Protect program, rehabilitating pangolins, implementing smart fence technology for wild dog safety, and empowering local communities through the Fence Guardianship Program. These initiatives aim to address specific challenges and improve overall conservation effectiveness.

Long-Term Impact

The project's long-term impacts include better protection of critical wildlife populations, enhanced collaboration among stakeholders, increased awareness of conservation issues, and sustainable employment opportunities for local communities. By addressing these challenges holistically, the project contributes to the long-term sustainability of biodiversity conservation in the region.
