With funds raised through this project we will hire a qualified nurse to work in our clinic in rural Guatemala, and buy enough medication to support health of 150 community members for the whole year.
We work in areas where no other medical facilities are available. The closest government hospital to our Guatemalan clinic is located 1,5 hours drive away. It means the local population of 25 000 do not have any other access to basic medical care. The locals die from simple injuries and illnesses that can be easily treated.
We have built a clinic in these remote village of Departamento Totonicapan, Guatemala that is lead mostly by volunteers. We provide the locals with free medicines, medical consults and organize educational events. In this way we improve the quality of life of the local population. At the same time running the clinics is costly, and we entirely rely on small donors. By donating to our project, you will help us to provide the local population with medical care they direly need.
Providing basic medical care in the remote area of Guatemala yields profound and lasting effects on the community. By offering essential healthcare services at no cost, we not only improve health outcomes but also enhance access to medical treatment, empowering individuals with knowledge about preventive healthcare practices. The clinic ensures the continuity of healthcare services, ultimately leading to a significant improvement in the overall quality of life for the community members.
