Project Report | Feb 20, 2015
A great start to the year

Sai Oo teaching the children of his community
Sai Oo teaching the children of his community

Firstly, on behalf of The Branch Foundation and Sai Oo, I would like to thank you for your donation towards this project. Your support is providing an extremely dedicated and hardworking individual with the opportunity to not only advance his own education but also enables him to pass on his knowledge to the youth of his community.

Sai Oo had a very successful first semester at university which is clearly shown by his results: four A's and one B+. We were delighted at this news yet not surprised.

This is what Sai Oo had to say about the importance of attending university in a recent email conversation I had with him:

"It is importance for me to attend University because the guide or frame/boundary that I need to study is unknown if I am not in University. Frame/boundary means the ways I need to study step by step to be able to understand the concepts of IT (IT field is very broad major). As a result, I am able to know how to teach/guide the children in my community when I graduate. I really enjoy working on the projects and doing research to find ways of filling the gaps needed by developing software. To initiate the idea of developing applications, we need to identify problem and how we can solve problem by developing an application. I find it very interesting."

We have quite a long way to go to reach our target to provide funding for Sai Oo's university costs for his 2nd year therefore we would be extremely grateful if you help us by donating again or by spreading the word about this project to your friends and family in the hopes that they will be as generous as yourself.

With sincere gratitude,

Tom Rosen and The Branch Foundation Team
